Sippy

What the app does

Sippy is a construction kit for game nights. It comes with two games: Kings Cup, the card game, and Sippy Spiral, a board game on a spiral. Both can be rebuilt — every card and every field gets its own rule, and rule sets can be saved as presets.

A group that plays together often creates a crew. The crew remembers last time’s rules and keeps a chronicle of its evenings. At the end of every game a Rewind tells the evening back: how it ended, which house rule applied and which moments the table marked. The Rewind can be shared as a picture.

Nobody has to drink. In alcohol-free mode the table plays for points or for a stake of its own, such as push-ups, and the standard rules have their own versions for it.

How it is built

Flutter with Riverpod for state and Drift as the local database. Both games run on the same game engine, which understands rules as data: a card or a field says what happens and who it hits, and the engine carries it out. That is what makes the editor possible without every rule needing its own code.

All data stays on the device, and there is no account. The app speaks German and English.
