Tell me what isn't working.

You don't need a finished specification. A few sentences about the problem are enough — we sort out the rest in conversation.

What to include

The more of this you send, the more concrete the answer:

  • What is it about, and what specifically bothers you today?
  • Does something already exist — a website, application, system — and where?
  • When does it need to be done, and what does that date depend on?
  • What have you already tried, and why wasn't it enough?

What comes back

An honest assessment: whether I'm the right fit, roughly what it means, and how I would approach it.Including when the answer is that you don't need me. If an off-the-shelf product solves your problem, that is the better recommendation.

Frequently asked

What does a first conversation cost?

Nothing. A first conversation about your project and an initial assessment are free. You pay once work is commissioned, and then against a scope stated in advance.

How quickly do you reply?

Usually within a few working days. If it's urgent, say so in the message.

Do you take on small jobs?

Yes. An audit, a performance rescue or a single integration are perfectly normal engagements. If your issue takes two hours, I'll tell you that too.
